Insight to Aerial Photography

It is not a secret that the photo being used as a backdrop for a photorealistic architectural visualisation, specifically an aerial, can make or break the visual. I find it odd I did not address this area of our work so far – When Virtual Meets Reality! Michael Biondo / Photographer

A great source of inspiration and technical reference for me is the work of photographers, specifically those focusing on architecture photography. They capture the finished result under real world constraints and we visualize the vision before it breaks ground. In many ways we mimic the photographers work in virtual 3d world… when we go for the complete photo-real approach, as there are many other ways to visualize architecture as shown in the previous post by Jeremy Kay.

I’ll start showcasing the works of photographers that I find very inspiring and that we can all learn from to better do our job. First one to make an appearance here is Photographer Michael Biondo. I stumbled upon his work while researching works done by Architect Richard Neutra and seen some photos he made of the renovation done by Joab Moore Architects to one of his homes.
