I wanted to create a special atmosphere and a contrast between the cold outside and the warmth of a relaxing bath enjoying the view. A nice and comfy cocoon with a view to the unfriendly and cold outer world.
Simple workflow: 3dsMax, Vray and Photoshop
Our team started working on this project and subsequently, it grew up into something more. We didn’t want to recreate the Architecture only, but also to convey the atmosphere and add our vision and feeling of the Amsterdam and the context of the building location. We also wanted to experiment a bit with the mood of the images by using different weather and lighting condition. We invested a piece of ourselves and treated this project with love.
This place of worship comprises two timber panels angled toward one another, like a pair of hands in prayer. A metallic roof gives a simple and protective external aspect. The semi-enclosed structure simultaneously creates a defined interior while remaining open to nature and the community.
Inside, the covering is supported by wooden beams revealing the constructive simplicity. With a total length of 13 meters, the structure soars high at 9m, indicating a sense of connection with God and the heavens above. The raising of the main beam after the altar increases space depth and highlights this sacral point.
This eye-catching office space was styled and planned by our skilled designers, then
produced in CGI for a new furnishing client. Their distinctive modular sofas, screens and linking tables can be arranged in an infinite number of combinations making them ideal for flexible workspaces, office meeting areas and communal lounges.
Our 3D artists have been meticulous sculpting the sofa models and manually adding creases and detail using Zbrush. We’ve also included the technical draft sofa renderings that we sent to the client for sign-off, ensuring that we had captured the fabric textures and details correctly. Finally the office scene is recreated with the clients furnishings in 3DSMax and rendered with Corona Renderer, adding finishing touches and colour adjustments in Adobe Photoshop and Fusion Studio 16.

The site is positioned on an island called Halvarøy on a natural ledge in the terrain overlooking the fiord to the west, two of Norway´s most challenging climbing peaks towards the south and protected by a ridge in the terrain towards the east.
I was inspired by the excellent work of architects and decided to try to convey the environment and atmosphere of this place.
I think it turned out really good.
