The Dar Al-Uloum Initiative aims to rethink the library’s functions and transform the interior of Dar Al-Uloum from a storage space for books, to a more open and flexible social space.

During this project it was very helpful to revise carefully the tropical context of the Philippines, and particularly of this location, where sugar cane fields are abundant and there is some specific vegetation like palm trees.
The goal of this project was to make images of impact in a short amount of time. Studying references that would give us an idea of the kind of lighting we could use was vital, thanks to this we could overcome this stage to have the desired final result.
