We love modern architecture and evening mood. We were inspired by the bureau “The System Lab” project and tried to come up with a conceptual environment for it.
This is a personal project I’ve been meaning to do for a long time. I wanted to primarily learn how to use RailClone, so a brick façade was a no-brainer.
I used ZBrush to create the bricks and distributed them in three different patterns using RailClon. Due to the limitations of RailClone Lite, I could only use 3 segments (or 3 unique bricks) per RailClone object, which was challenging at first, because I didn’t want to see repeating bricks on the building. The workaround was to use transform nodes in RailClone to rotate each segment several times in 90 degree increments. This way I could get 4 unique sides from each brick, and ultimately get 12 unique looking bricks instead of 3. Using procedural and triplanar texturing techniques helped out even further to get a more random, natural look.
I also personally took the backplate photo, which proved to be extremely helpful because I had all the information for the camera matching afterwards.
Primary school “De Boomgaard”
(age 4-12 year) was based on two location because of the lack of space.
The extension will give the Boomgaard enough space for the future.
We wanted tp make a wooden school.
Construction, interior, facade all-in wood.
The floorplans are very efficient in creating a central space for all the kids
in the same age group (there will be 7) classrooms with 30 kids each in the age 4-6,
and then there are 3 classrooms for every next year.
The wooden extension is fort he first three classes: age 4-7 year.
It was a very unusual and interesting project. The visualization was made to order a French Agency, but I decided to slightly modify and Refine the project for fun. I really hope that I was able to convey the atmosphere of a French morning. If you like the project, please rate it.
Location: Ambarès-et-Lagrave, France
client: Hubstairs
visualization: Boris Trevgoda
modelling: Ilya Ilyin, Sergey Buligyn, Anton Kosobruhov
