Sloterdijk

A team directed by NL Architects has won the Sloterdijk competition in Amsterdam. It was a big assignment we did last February. Further than the heavy amount of 3D and the insane amount of hours spent in Photoshop, our main concern was to give the right Amsterdammer neighborhood feeling in the images. So, hope you like them, and hope you can feel the Amsterdam vibes! 🙂

Eco Pod Holiday Accommodation

This image was done to show off a concept design for high end accommodation retreats. Backplate panoramic photography was shot on location in Apollo Bay, Victoria, Australia. Some foreground plants were maintained, but most were replaced using Forest Pro in 3dsmax. Some photoshop relighting and sky replacement was also done.

A little about the project:

THE ACCOMMODATION PODS are designed as self-sufficient prefab units for easy delivery and installation. Designed with integrated water storage tanks PV panels and power battery storage, The ACCOMMODATION POD is clad in a composite timber cladding, and made from recycled wood waste.

Casa Enseada

Images based on “Casa Enseada”, by Arquitetura Nacional. You can find the original, marvelous project here: http://design-milk.com/brazilian-beach-house-weekends-holidays/
There are some minor differences between this rendition and the original design, but they’re simply for me to practise some specific skills (I wouldn’t change the design, of course!).
This set was a great opportunity for me to finally use Chaos Group’s wonderful VRScans materials, an incredible material library made from custom scanned real world materials. If you’re not familiar with those, I strongly advise you to give them a spin. They’re basically ready to use, photorealistic materials created using Chaos’ proprietary scan technology and all you have to do is insert them in your scene. No tweaking, no guessing.
I also used some commercial models bought from Design Connected (the Poltrona Mole, by Sergio Rodrigues) and 3DSky.org (the dining set, kitchen appliances) and some other free stuff from Dimensiva. Some high resolution textures were bought from Textures.com, making the creation of the floor material a lot easier. Those are really great resources and very affordable.
As far as softwares are concerned, I used the usual suspects: 3ds Max 2017, V-Ray 3.50.04 and Photoshop.

CINEMATIC CGI

A call for all units
a brown Fiat 500 without the driver found in restricted parking zone 670 meters away from Eiffel tower at 7:00 a.m for all concerned units please get to the destination to check the car immediately
I updated my location on the system so use your GPS
maybe the driver was drunk after a rough night and not able to drive anymore and this is why he parked in this restricted non parking area
And also maybe we have a bomb in this vehicle specially that the vehicle hasn’t a registration plate.
copy that ..

May god save our cities from terrorism and the radical idiots .

Pyrus House

This project was commissioned by Strom Architects for a set of 15 images for two houses in Stockholm.

The big request was to try to manage the surround and try to represent the most of the vegetation on the site. On the other and the decoration of the houses was very specific and with some house relation.

We try to observe some site photos; some site inspirations and we try to get some feeling from there to try to put on the images.

The client was very pleased with the results and so we 😉
