We continue to share with you a selection of projects that were created for KANT Arkitekter.
I think you’ve already noticed some of the similarities between these projects. Yes, it’s indeed a typical design for Denmark.
But I believe you can agree that the brown bricks look stylish and modern and give a certain aesthetic to the houses.

‘Baa’

‘Baa’
The Fall
Design & illustrated by Duy Phan

Recently I got the chance to hear a speech from Ross Calia, Ross is a talented multidisciplinary creative artist. Well known for his addictive sound composing integration into varied project typologies, Ross’s humble speech inspired and provoked me as a visual artist to rethink the way I extract concepts from images.

Learning the limits and possibilities of aural and visual translation when it comes to conveying the conceptual message, I tried to sketch down what I think is hearable that viewers can ‘see’: people or animal’s activities, lighting shift, moving weather and shaking vegetation…etc

‘Baa’ is the outcome of this brainstorming process.

The FALL is middle-hill seated, surrounded by moving nature. In the attempt of putting the livable creatures closer, imagination gives a second of popping up the animal’s sound in our head before scattering the eye through the windy meadow to uncover the architectural object. As natural as reality, the context is built in advance and the look-out structure flows along with the topography, blending itself to be part of the scenery.

Container House

This render shares an idea of illuminating a shipping container that was transformed into a descent and eco-friendly home that was nestled at the top of the hill. This scene illustrates how light can be functional, artistic, and most important is eco-friendly.
The use of the linear light grazing the interior walls defined the space within the house and also gives a cozy feeling not only within but as well as the approaching guest and the use of a downlight with discreet light source help set the ambiance on the rest of the areas.
Decorative light functions not only aesthetically but as a path light as it discreetly lit the way with a minimum visual disturbance.
The objective here is to let light function as require without overpowering natural scenery and capture the natural scenery as well as artificial because the best option is to experience it all.

Set | 01 – Light

The lamp on stage is a small project of mine that I did when I was at university.
This image was born with the idea of setting it in an environment that suits it, enhancing it through the design of the set.
