This is a personal project. I like small spaces because you can optimize and imagine different ways to do more bigger space perception.
This project took some time because I wanted a small space where could you feel the atmosphere like home. And I tried Vray Next, really faster and easy update.
The brief here was to create a bold industrial interior with vast open spaces. By using on trend German kitchen designs in an interior with exposed brick, vaulted warehouse ceilings and dark metal frames our stylists and CG artists have created a magnificent industrial space.
We often get asked how we manage to get the lighting in our images looking so realistic. Each scene is lit in a traditional photographic way, no HDRIs or Sun/Sky systems. Bounce boards push indirect light into the scene and custom IES profiles replicate spot lights to imitate the sun and other internal lights.
This is a tribute to my father´s work because my father is a carpenter, this is a special project for me because he told me about how to build with wood.
The personal project in which I attempt to evoke the certain impression of an ageing modernist villa as it appears during a rainy morning. It gets some visitors only in the high season and stays left immaculately dead for the rest of the year. One could feel the coldness of the unused fireplace and hear the creaking boards as he roams around the empty rooms. The air is dense and smells of wet wood.
