The 3rd 2013 birthday giveaway is here! Exlevel will give one of you lucky followers a license of GrowFX – Their 3dsmax plugin for building and animating plants & trees. You will also have the chance to win a GrowFX license by sending 3d render/s you made showcasing great looking handmade foliage using any technique or software you like… procedural software and plugins included.
First Part Winner Announced
Congratulations to @ShaXdoW – Moh’d Salim
You are the lucky winner of a GrowFX License. Enjoy it!
You can still have pre-made 3d foliage models in your images, just make sure the main feature is a tree/s, plant/s, shrub/s, etc. made by you. Just like Mateusz Ledzki from 3dology Studio did last time with the great images you see above featuring his GrowFX creations.

Their main product – GrowFX, is a system of modeling and animating plants for Autodesk 3ds Max. With it, you can recreate digitally a lifelike 3D model of any plant, from grass and trees to woodland. GrowFX lets you create broadleaf trees, conifers, palm trees, flowers, ivy and many other vegetational compositions. Its unique model building tools will help you create creeping plants, entwining scene objects, and shearing plants of any shape. Plants may bend around different objects. GrowFX is fully compatible with 3ds Max. All parameters can be animated. You can, for example, create a wind animation, plant growth animation and other kinds of animation you can imagine. There is also an opportunity to edit the parameters using MAXScript.
The power of GrowFX is best showcased by the work being done at 3dMentor, the creators of the HQ Plants series, where they use it to make large and small deciduous trees, conifers and shrubs (included in HQ-Plants Vol. 1 and HQ-Plants Vol. 2)
as well as various types of grass, field and ground cover (included in HQ-Grass Vol. 1)
