A new and exciting challenge is about to begin! Tomorrow is back for the 3rd time and looking for their next star. The best submission will be awarded 1000 Euro cash prize and a well-paid full-time position at Tomorrow with benefits such as social welfare, exercise bonus, field-trips and most of all become a proud Tomorrow team member.
My main mission was to get 3 exclusive shots of the library, expressing severe winter atmosphere with the intention to shift the observers attention to the building. The inspiration of the first shot was a mix of Russian winter and industrial evolution of the 19th century, the concept that I have developed looks like a shot from a fairy tale.
Second shot was inspired by the painting of Johan Christian Dahl’s ‘View of Dresden by Moonlight’.

Quick update on my progress. Last week I did some model preparation/detailing, texturing, lighting. Over the weekend I’ve rendered images.Last 3 days I’ve spent on post-production. Right now I’m working on details, inserting people.
And here are the finished images after postproduction.
I wanted to bring a calming and thoughtful atmosphere to the whole project, focusing on showing small life moments, even glimpses, instead of whole spaces, since architecture is always the frame of life itself and very rarely the end result. That made it extremely important to focus on the characters that populate the scenes, the final colours of the images… I’m specially proud of the last image, which is a detail shot of an intimate moment of a library user. I wanted to capture the idea of a moment frozen in time.
I had a lot of fun with the project! Hope you like them.
