Tomorrow Challenge 2018 entry by User-17278501

Sweden… Sometimes cloudy and rainy but always friendly! Nice for living and working. This is social face.Really feel proud to making some renders and ideas for this place. My main theme for my design:reflection. Used some glosiness material like semi-gloss concrete and bronze panel.
I know tomorrow will be more brighter from now. That’s why I used metal material structure.

My first process was to explore photographic composition, camera angle and focal length as every bit of proportion counts.

My second process was to decide on the mood, lighting and story as it is critical for subsequent processes such as adding human activity and adding imaginative alfresco or other scene elements to form a story for the image. It wouldn’t have much meaning to me if the render does not convey such a narrative. I settled with a dusk, post rain scene, where students are leaving the school after a long day, with some people grabbing dinner at the alfresco.

My third process for this challenge was to experiment with different facade options since a major part of our work as visualizers is to portray unbuilt architecture. (I do love the Corten steel facade though!). In the end, I was inspired by Zaha Hadid’s Antwerp Port House as well as 2-22 Building’s use of glazed facade in Montreal and how it adds a dynamic quality to reflections on the facade.
