the extreme contrast between the lower and higher modern structures, in a while of time from now, the top-notch architecture will be mainly towards the vertical extension, even no we see such a thing in our present NY, services, technical systems and dark concrete side of the city remains visible to the nearby street levels while the more classy, flashy part will be always up on the top near to those high rise buildings

This is an update post also showing whole concept.
I just choosed those views, so there is actually lack of some environment and detail.
Currently I am finishing modeling rest of the buildings that are visible in those views.
My next step going to be add people in second plan and fill up scene with greenery.
People in foreground will be added in photoshop. Still don’t have final light setup but atmosphere of the images probably won’t change too much.
Feel free to comment and critique !

Hopefully everyone is well and making the best out of this crisis. keep it up!
Short recap:
“Two worlds emerged after the sea rised. New one on the platforms in the sky and the old, underneath it.
New world is run by technology and progress, and it became wastly different from what the old world inhabitants remember.”

Vessel serves as the connection between these 2 different realms. Once a showcase of the future, now the reminder of the past.
The story i try to show is about the relationship between these 2 worlds and a character, which is a main focus of mine. He is the main subject of my entry and the shots are taylored to tell his story.
He is a simple folk, working in a “swamp” world, cleaning up the waters, as a majority of them.

Here are some sketchces for the first shot , and a chosen scene on which i worked for a while.
Thanks for any suggestions in advance , and good luck to all of you!

The ARM – Work Update May 9th

‘The visual of the not actual physical built structure, but it’s communication method.’
.
Hi guys, Have you ever been in the SHED NYC before?
.
I wonder if there will be a new iconic addition to Hudson Yards, which could be a better place to introduce the development design to the public than the SHED_the Bloomberg building’s public gallery!
.
“The Shed commissions original works of art, across all disciplines, for all audiences. We bring together established and emerging artists in fields ranging from hip hop to classical music, painting to digital media, theatre to literature, and sculpture to dance.”
theshed.org/about
.
Imagine the year 2030, when Related Group decides to share the new vision for Hudson Yards with the ARM Skyline. Having a strong cultural and artistic community connection, the SHED would be a perfect spot to host the exhibition to propose a new landmark to New Yorkers and visitors.
.
Since the competition gives us the chance to have an actual design and to tell a story about the ideas behind that through visual connection, considering how to structure a story around the ARM idea, I divide it into chapters. And what you are looking at is chapter One_The ARM 2030, before any brick is built and visual memory is what the project uses to convey its message.
.
From many sources including Diller Scofidio + Renfro public work, Related Group page and online architecture archives such as Archdaily and Dezeen, I collected images that show the interior space of the SHED gallery for a reference to rebuilding the design in 3D for this virtual exhibition.
.
There will be two chapters to continue.
.
Can you guess which phases of the project development the chapters can be placed to unfold the future-history of the ARM?
.
Thank you for reading, and it’s always much welcome to hear your thoughts about the work’s update!
.
Warm Regards,
Duy Phan
