I’ve been busier than I was hoping these last few weeks but managed to set time aside to build up an animated foliage library using megascans assets. A few more plants to go then moving onto the next stage. Hoping to wrap up an animatic in the next few days to guide where I need to spend the remaining month… I’m sure it’ll go in a flash.

After I exported the mountain model to rhino, I started adding a few trees to setting the atmosphere. I used low polly trees because the scene is intended to be at night therefore they don´t need to be so detailed.

As mentioned in the sort description, except there was no cabin, no solid infrastructure, which I will create one in this design process.
I imagine a cabin with an elevated structure would be nice as it should intervene with nature as little as posibble.
The creation process will be much intense in the natural surrounding. The cabin itself must focus on the atmosphere it creates, not on the geometrical form.

I still struggle with external visuals, completely without an idea. Therefore, today presents interior visualisations. Due to its small size, the interior is organized in a compact way. The central part is a service core with bathroom, kitchen unit, workplace and storage space. Attic – the upper part of the cabin has the function of bedroom. Besides that, there is a dining room and a lounge area with glassed bay window. The character of the interior is designed in a modern – rustic style.

Inspired by simplicity
A call for exploring the true meaning of life

As an architectural visualiser, my daily routine is surrounded by thoughts of progress like “building new horizons”, “building the future” and so on… Technology plays a key part on my routine as well – I depend on technology to be able to deliver the realism my clients expect from me. As an individual, my thoughts would take me somewhere else… away from my daily routine in order to remind me of who I am, what I am inspired by and what brings me joy. The result is then reflected into my work… and here I am, back to building new horizons, or the future, or whatever our Marketing experts want us to build… but adding a touch of humanity and sensibility to anything I intend to touch.

The CABINS challenge has brought me the perfect opportunity to work based on my own inspiration. During the brainstorming process I had the opportunity of reflecting upon special moments of my childhood where phones, WIFI connection and social media were slightly less relevant in our lives. The result is coming together to translate my true self: An individual who relies on technology to explore the true meaning of life.
