CABINS entry by Sheppard

I’ve been digging through the Quixel Megascans Library to find materials that I can use to bring more life to my Cabin concept as well as making use of the Skatter plugin for SketchUp to populate the in-view landscape with trees. Typically, the more I work on different views, the more I see that I could try to add or change to the modeling to make it better. I am utilizing Thea Render for the test renders.

Still in 3ds Max, I have now departed for the refinement of cabin model. The position of the Cabin was held in order to get the best of the views of the Chapada dos Veadeiros Park could offer.
A large window was set facing a landscape, that seems to get lost in infinity. Behind, a bed, evidencing the importance of the landscape in the design of the architecture and the arrangement of the elements in its interior.
Two large lateral openings were made in the cabin to better define the spaces, visually separating the kitchen from the bedroom, and allowing cross ventilation in the building.
The materials and some other details will be defined during the modeling / lighting / shaders process.

I’ve started working on this a while back during the little spare time I had. This is more of a concept/ WIP part 1 kind of entry.
The concept is based on the landscape found in the northern part of Norway, drawing inspiration mostly from the beautiful landscapes of the Lofoten islands.
For the architecture I am using as reference the designs of Mount Fuji architects.
I modeled the basic shape with the skills I have in World machine, and after a quick trip to 3ds max, I imported it into ZBrush where I detailed it more.
For the texturing part I used the Quixel suite.
The cabin is next, along with more detailing of the scenery.
