Hi All, Who and why: Finally I decided to participate. I am new in this world, reasonably skilled in Sketchup and Autocad but only just started with Vray. (I still have to produce my first decent render). I hope this proofs to be a good way to quickly master different programs myself. I am really looking forward to it and am curious about the results of other participants and offcourse my own. Cabin Concept: My Cabin must be a small but well-designed house with a small footprint. I always wonder why hotel rooms or vacation homes offer so little on a small surface. Starting point is 36M2 (387sqf) small footprint. It has to offer space for 4 to 5 people to live, sleep and relax, but above all enjoy the surroundings and to stay comfortable without being primitive. I will translate a traditional design into a contemporary design. Clean, homey and spacious inside, but from the outside simple and modest, almost stealth-like. My Cabin is the sum of a lodge, a luxury tent and a large tree house. During the design I will constantly ask myself the question: “Would I like to spend my vacation here with my family?” Surroundings: Lake Gosau in Austria. In my opinion one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Alps and in Austria. My family and I spent several winter and summer holidays in this area.
