When I was a child I was on a trip to Ireland and there I saw the Giant’s Causeway rock formations. This place looked so magical and out of this world to me, that it stuck.
Trying to think of a concept, I remembered this place and decided to choose this as my location. I am not sure what my cabin will look like yet… nor how the hell I am going to create the landscape in Sketchup…
I will probably create a modern looking cabin to contrast the primal location.
Hoping for the best

Hey! This is fantastic .I’ve been there as a kid also, it’s truly amazing. I feel like this concept could follow a similar atmosphere to my own. Raw landscape by the sea vibes. Have you thought about using 3ds max for the landscape? Sketchup could do this fairly easily in a rudimentary way… use the hexagon tool, push pull it, make up to 5 different variations as components and copy them around for hours? if you render from sketchup you could apply a displacement texture map using vray for sketchup, highly recommend that btw.

Thank you for your advice, I forgot the hexagon tool….
I guess if I could find my way through 3ds max I would do the landscape there, but I am much more comfortable using sketchup and vray.

I’m wondering if to cabin will adapt the rising, blocky shapes of the environment or assert it’s own shaped presence in the midst of the stair-stepping rock formations…
Either way, this is a truly unique location for you Cabin concept. Very nice!
    😀
