At the very first stage I collected as much data as possible about the “Royal Institute of Technology “
in Stockholm, Sweden. i came to know that the main building is covered with Red corten steel material.
I’m Using Corona renderer for this project.
Firstly, i place some cameras in several directions for a nice view. Then started matching the scene with real images. Minor modeling corrections done, mainly the ROOF need to be created. I used “aTiles” for the roof, but the scene got heavy. So, I moved out to “Displacement Roof Surface” plugins. It’s a displacement based roofing tools which works very nicely if properly handled. The main building model also corrected in some way.
After all modeling features done, the lighting process started. I tried some of the famous Peter Guthrie’s HDRI map & found one that suits the environment.
