I want to thank the TOMORROW studio and Ronen Bekerman for this great opportunity to test myself with a different and very interesting project: I hope to see you in Sweden!

after photographing the various subjects I started to insert them in the image. The greatest challenge is to fit togheder lights, shadows and color. I think I’m at a good point, I have to do the color grading and then the image is over.
To populate the square and get as close as possible to the concept of story I decided to personally photograph all the various subjects.
I do not have a photo set or a green screen so I improvised by photographing many friends in different locations.
The longest work will be to cut people, paint shadows and lights and integrate it with the final image.
For this project I decided to test Corona Render. It is quite simple and very similar to the classic Vray. The final render in 4K resolution took about 5 hours.
Now the fun part begins: post production!
I really love working with adobe photoshop. It allows you to have almost infinite creative freedom and be very flexible in terms of last minute changes for the customer.
The workflow for post production will be divided into 3 phases:
1) COMPOSITING of the different EXR channels + various adjustments
2) Insertion of the PROPS, in this case people. It will be the longest part of the work since I want to take a personal pictures of the various subjects.
3) FINALIZE: addition of FX (glare, dust, light leaks, fog) and Color Grading
I think half of the work is over: lighting, shaders and details satisfy me.
I do not give more importance to the pure 3D part or to the post production, both workflows are according to the final result: create an artistically effective image that satisfies the customer.
For the following project, taking into consideration the fact of presenting only one point of view, I chose to create a good base (nothing technically extreme) and then to rely on photoshop for the inclusion of an important factor of the initial concept: the univeritary students.
The inclusion of people into the images helps to contextualize the environment and give a more human and emotional factor to the final work.
I spent some time modeling the elements that will characterize the concept of the student party in the square: exhibitors for paintings and models, interior furnitures of the building, balloons, rollup, information kiosk, light bulbs and flags. I used the colors of the Swedish flag and the university logo: it was very funny!
Although there are no trees in the existing project, I wanted to add 4 birches because I believe that vegetation is one of those key elements that must never be missing in any image.
