I’ll try to show you how i like to start a new 3D projet. For this one, i started modelling the building and play with clay renders to find out the main light source. This stage helps me identify what is really important to show with the model and what atmosphere i want to give finding the right shadows and highlights.
Then this is more about finding the right angle and aspect ratio so i can really quickly lock my camera and start working on what really matters.
After all shaders where apply to the basic building model, i started working on the environnement and the materials at the same times.
After a long time looking for the right proportions, angles, composition, i really get into detailing everything.
I really wanted to go for something simple with a foggy atmosphere. So as always with starting a new project i go to the internet and start looking for inspiration and do some sketch on the side to keep some ideas in mind.
Then i went really quickly to try some matérials and the frame for the image.
