Graticule House by David Jameson Architects is an exemplar for the “isolated house in the woods” scenario. Interestingly articulated using a simple orthogonal design vocabulary, this house offer many great framed vantage points towards the woods and from the woods back at it. Lumion 2011 Competition Winners

The results of the 2011 Lumion Competition were announced today, an boy what amazing things can be done with this tool! It really makes me rethink the way I work today, and I have a lot to learn about it (and look forward too). I think the movie that came out in third place is the best among them all… maybe it’s the strong architectural design that fits my taste so precisely.

The Mothership Has Landed

How many times do you get to visualize a project designed by a world leading architecture firm for a world leading company? I wish I could have been on the team doing the new “Mothership” – Apple’s new campus in Cupertino designed by Foster + Partner. Steve Jobs says the groundbreaking for this magnificent flying-saucer-like edifice is planned for next year, with completion scheduled for 2015. What do you think of it – Design & Visuals?
