Complete Photoshop Postwork Session Videos by Mike Barrin

Today I stumbled upon a very interesting Photoshop photo matching postwork session videos made by Mike Barrin. He recorded a complete postwork session that he made on an image for a client and uploaded it in full to Vimeo at x8 speed. Even though I don’t like the end result all that much (got to be honest here), I really do like the process being showcased like that. I learned a few things from following the 4 videos and I suggest you all to take the time and watch them too. x8 speed might be too fast but if you focus you get the hang of it.

Peter Guthrie’s Kilburn Vale Visualizations

I just have to share these amazing architecture visualizations by Peter Guthrie – Representing some of his best work. The design is by Gianni Botsford Architects and SketchUP was the modeling tool of choice. I use SketchUP 99% of the time for all modeling, and Peter strives to get most of it done inside SketchUP too, texturing too… the rest is good old 3dsmax & VRay. Remarkable design and visuals! enjoy.

Visualizing retail centers is not an easy task since it is a large scope work and it has become rather difficult to be unique with all those mega structures looking very similar to one another. I had a little chat with Mark Lee from Uniform about this project trying to gain some more insight about their process and I’m sharing it here with you too.

Gama Issa House Animation by Wizarc Studio

Take a look at this CG remake of Marcio Kogan’s Gama Issa House done by Wizarc Studio. They have done a great job showcasing this house and outputted a remarkably clean Maxwell Render animation! I also took some screen captures and compared them with real photos of the house as taken by photographer Arnaldo Pappalardo. It is clear that they used those photos as key points during the animation and the matching is really good.
