Architectural Visualization Challenge I The GH House
The Challenge is about to start in a day! I’ve added the information pages to the blog under the new Challenges option in the navigation above.
SHIFT Cottage / Superkül Architects
Wonderful blue dusk images of this wooden cottage by Superkül Architects. Vivid and saturated colors but with great control, also in the daylight views with the combination of interior lights… this is a great reference for this type of lighting.
Alto Vetro Residential Tower / Shay Cleary Architects
Beautiful images of Shay Clearys Alto residential apartment tower on a former single residence site. Great reference for visualizing a glass covered tower at dusk and day showing the insides too.
London Skyline Visualization Looks Good Enough to Eat!
I think this is a first in architectural visualization! Artist Carl Warner and his team of five model-makers spent three weeks crafting the famous London landmarks out of foods ranging from melons and tomatoes to asparagus. The team used 26 different types of fruit to recreate the London skyline and the result truly looks good enough to eat!
3D Studio Max Script, Building Generator v0.7
A new version of the Building Generator is out with many new features and improvements. This is a very impressive script and the development of it is really fast and I can see how it can be very useful for me to generate city backdrops for urban visualizations for example.
23 Free textures from Trespa, Naturals & Wood Decors
A very good collection of wood & natural materials by manufacturer Trespa. Great for use inside SketchUP and also for rendering at large resolutions too, though you might need to tweak it a bit for tiling.
