3D Garden Animation like NO Other!
Take a look at the latest short animation by Marek Denko and after that please try to convince me he isn’t an Extraterrestrial hiding among us normal Homo sapiens. That is the best looking and totally realistic 3d garden I’ve ever seen to date! and showcased in a very cool way too. Way to go Marek!
Making of Sitting Area
Jason Lee posted a little fun side project he made not long ago on the forums – The ‘Sitting Area’. Today he shares a little about the process of making this 3d scene using Lightwave for modeling and rendering. I hope this will open up the door for more Lightwave users to share their work here as it looks like a very capable system and yet seems not so popular among archviz artists (is it?). Anyway, Jason get’s into some really great detail work in this scene we all can learn from… especially the extra push on adding details in postwork.
iray and Exterior Scenes with Jeff Patton
I’ve followed Jeff Patton’s blog for some time now and he posted the first of three articles about the use of iray in 3d exterior architectural visualization scenes. Most of you probably know Jeff’s work by now. He’s doing a lot CG cars visualizations, but also archviz using mental ray mostly and has some great tutorials available via thegnomonworkshop.com if you are interested, But what interest me the most is his use if the new iray render engine in his work and what he has to share with us about it. In this new series he showcases the use of iray in a much more common architectural 3d rendering work scenario and how it plays with the current shortcomings of GPU on-board memory. I recommend you all to follow this series and i’ll make sure to plug it here so you do!
