Chillout Sessions / Miniature Architectural Dioramas

Australian creative agency Collider created this super cool concept for the Ministry of Sound album artwork of Chillout Sessions XII. It is a homage to Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra and the lifestyles their buildings accommodated, Chillout Sessions XII takes you to a fusion of time periods somewhere between the 50’s and the 80’s in the filtered light of California. This miniature diorama features the artists from the compilation in house chilling out. Great idea and lovely execution!

2,700 XFrogPlants Now Individually Available!

XFrog Inc. the makers of XFrogPlants, made a big move and all the 3D plant tree and flower models found in their XfrogPlants libraries are now available as individual species! Now you can pick and choose the plants you need to fill out your 3D scenes. Each species includes between 3 and 9 models of the plant at different ages and sizes, essential for creating varied, natural-looking landscapes. XFrogPlants are great, just remember to turn off filtering on the opacity maps for faster renders.

Interview with Alex York

Getting back on track with interviews and what could be better than doing one with CITY LIFE Jury panel member, Alex York. Previously working at Hayes Davidson, Alex is now heading his own London-based studio – Ateilier York, boasting clients like Barton Willmore, Savills, David Adjaye and MMM Architects to name but a few.
