Private House at Suffolk by Peter Guthrie

Peter Guthrie first showcased this great set of renders that he made for Storm Architects design of a Private House at Suffolk at his Academy Day #2 Workshop in Venice. The special thing about it, other then seeing more remarkable images from Peter, was that we got a glimpse into his actual workflow – in person and in-depth. It was very nice seating next to him, seeing all the people in the conference room mesmerized during the entire session (lucky for me, there was a screen at the back too). Peter shared it on the forums, and you are all welcome to comment about it and ask whatever you like.

Here are some of the images Peter made for the design by Storm Architects (you can see the Private House at Suffolk set on flickr).

Great work! another masterpiece for that collection of yours. I don’t know if there’s gonna be a “making of” but Id like to know about your lightning setup, did you use only dome with HDRI for all the images natural lighting? or just for the night ones? and how did you lighten the interiors in those, besides of the VRayIES? Thanks!

There will be a making-of soon. HDRi for all shots, only vrayies for the interiors (I uploaded this project to Ronen’s forum too, so more info there).

I beg to differ, this one is the most complex and realistic. It might not have the charisma of previous stuff since this one is commercial :- ).I can’t wait for making-of. I am really interest in your fog workflow, I incorporated it into mine work after your inspiration, but I hardly manage it good as you. So if you can share atleast part of the secret I am stoked ;- )

Nice images as always but imo the water shader ruin a couple of them, I also see more noise than usual.
