ABOUT ME

Lucia Frascerra is an architectural visualizer, born in Livorno (Italy) in 1988. From childhood, it became immediately evident that her passion for art and drawing would take her to attend art school, resulting in her graduation from the University of Florence in summa cum laude in Architecture. During her studies she worked for Architectural studies like MDU Architects, Luigi Zola and OFICINA94, while at the same time she took part in many international architectural competitions, reaching the podium three times. Her interest in architectural design goes parallel with another more overwhelming passion, computer graphics for architecture. After graduation she decided to undertake a career as a 3D Visualizer, motivating her to complete the "Virtual Architecture Master" at the Italian Academy of Computer Graphics INRENDER, which will open her doors to the world of architectural visualization. At the end of her studies, she became Post Production teacher at the INRENDER Academy, whilst working as a freelancer. In 2015 she moved to London to join DBOX, one of the most influent studios of the industry. Her personal work was nominated in the CGArchitect's 3D Awards 2015, gained a 1st Award in the Evermotion Challenge 2015, a Honorable Mention in the Project Soane Competition 2016, and was featured in two publications of 3DArtist Italia Magazine. In 2016 Lucia was the keynote speaker at the Architectural Visualization Day 2016 in Goteborg, Sweden, and she was chosen to be on the judging board of the CG Architect’s 3D Awards for the years 2016 and 2017, together with some of the best exponents of the industry. Today Lucia works in London for DBOX as CGI Designer.

This is the image I made for Fabio Palvelli's 5th render challenge "the thing" - I't's an homage to the extraordinary Vamsi Krishna Vemuri who made the 3D Model of the sculpture along with other amazing works.

A young Artist is having a break from her work, a having cup of tea in her Home-studio in London. She's been working on her painting for a few weeks now, and she's almost finished it, she just needs to do the final touches to make it perfect. But something is holding her back, like something missing in the painting and she can't figure out what it is.

It's summer in London, some friends decided to meet at the rooftop garden of one of them, to enjoy the good weather and watch the sunset while having a good chat and a chilled beer.

This is the image I made for Fabio Palvelli’s 5th render challenge “the thing” – I’t’s an homage to the extraordinary Vamsi Krishna Vemuri who made the 3D Model of the sculpture along with other amazing works.
I decided to recreate the room of the Temple of Dendur at the MET Museum in New York City in 3D, I’ve been there a couple of years ago and it really struck me with its beauty –
what a better place to have an exhibition of Vamsi’s work? Enjoy 🙂

Ages ago, I found on Pinterest a pretty cool photo of Porto, and I kept it into my inspirations folder ever since. Every now and then I would go back to that image, and every single time it would strike me how beautiful the composition, the colours, and the light were. Because I liked it a lot, I started thinking about how cool it would have been to recreate the image in 3D to see if I could get a similar result to the original photo. This was a completely new approach for me and it turned out to be a very interesting experiment and a really valuable exercise. Hope you like it! 😎😎

This was my first image with a character as the focal point of the composition.
The young Artist is a good friend of mine and I photographed her in the correct perspective and lighting condition to match the render. I have to say that I had so much fun with my friends that day when we did the shooting (in a very amateur way!!)
