When I heard about the challenge of “Cabins” for the first time, I remembered the great work of art “A-Z West” by the artist Andrea Zittel.
Her ‘Experimental Living Cabins’ are installed at Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California. The work deals with all aspects of daily life. The design of the prefabricated cabins represents the minimum of what is needed to provide shelter. Visitors can stay in a cabin for up to several weeks to experience the amazing desert environment.
For the challenge, my idea is to translate Zittel’s social artwork into a virtual 3D experience. It’s going to be quite a journey … and I’m looking forward to it!
