The Vineyard / TEAM
Late Nights
Ever since I saw latest Mad Max, Fury road I was fascinated with the Citadel structure. The green slope is only visible for moment but stuck to my mind. The concept while stretched isn’t implausible and offers perfect solution for modern terraformed mesa mountain with winery for future noveau rich. So this is what what we went with. It’s not necessarily situated in current times or current world. Could be anywhere,.. it’s simply this dirty, reddish desert area allowing just slight living conditions under the right technology. After all, soon enough, we’ll be building something like this on Mars.
The project’s quality is pretty well, but looks like a copy-paste of a Zaha Hadid interior, even the furniture.
That’s what we took for reference, so it’s quite intentional. The furniture isn’t copy, it’s directly hers.
So I guess we can’t take any reference for shapes when going for outside ordinary architecture ? It’s not architectural (in purest sense) competition you know…
Going for functioning reference is often better than imagining some random kitsch…
