Awesome give aways you are doing here Ron, I have only ever used the free demo but from what i have seen of it the products are great a larger database of trees and plants would be amazing

thx Ronen, but when you try to ”get the files”, using the FB or twitter button, nothing happens 🙂

SiRadcliff Thanks for the kind words. We are constantly working on growing our library, so while it takes some time, the database will eventually become very large. 😉 Next up is a library of temperate conifers, after that probably bushes and shrubs, as these two categories of plants are currently requested the most.

If you ask me what plants I’d like Laubwerk to release soon I’d say european fir  trees of different kind.

  5. Laubwerk
    Laubwerk says:

PiotrPietruczak We got good news for you, a kit containing temperate conifers (like pines or firs) is going to be released in September. 😉

I’d definitely like to see a greater range of bushes….there’s lots of grasses/trees out there but something a bit lower level would be fab!

JonW80 We agree! As mentioned in other replies, the upcoming Kit is going to be conifers, but bushes and shrubs are requested a lot and we’re definitely going to take care of that soon.

Laubwerk no worries, I have actually only just seen you had a kit 4 now If i had the cash i would buy all of them, so will have to wait, good job though love the demo.

I prefer the bushes kit, because not always the project is surrounded by huge green areas and it could be helpful carrying out several landscapes designs in order to make the project cooler and more attractive. In fact, I’d like to improve the gardens that I might have in my project.

For me the smaller plants would be interesting, flowers or maybe grass? (somehow optimized ?)
Also looking forward for the SurfaceSpread integration, I’m sure you will make a nice combo update for it soon 🙂

Thanks for the demo, really enjoying it.
Coming from a Nordic country, I’m also looking forward to a kit of conifers. Never enough around you 😉

  14. Laubwerk
    Laubwerk says:

Dejan Sparovec Laubwerk Plants Kit 4 has all kinds of Sub-tropical trees, which includes a few mediterranean ones (e.g. the Cypress). Unfortunately it does not have an olive tree, but that one is definitely on the list. Also the Turkish pine from the Freebie could be a fit.

TamasErdodi With flowers and grass, the biggest problem is actually in a clever distribution. You seem to have anticipated an answer like this, because you mentioned SurfaceSPREAD. With 3ds Max, Forest Pack does a great job in making the distribution of plants simpler and render efficiently. For Cinema 4D there is currently no similar solution, but we think SurfaceSPREAD can move into that direction and that’s were we want to head. Stay tuned…

Awesome Ronen/Laubwerk. Already a massive user of the Laubwerk trees in C4D… They’ve simplified our workflow no end.
You’ve recently fulfilled one of my wants and needs in your latest update, introducing 2sided materials. The was a pain before hand having to do it manually, so ace work.
In terms of new tree variants, it would be good to see some more sculptured trees (rather than wild). We constantly have clients asking for trees with a clear 2m trunk etc.
Also agree with lower level hedges, box hedges are my worst nightmare, our current solution is render and viewport intensive.

But awesome work Laubwerk. I’v no doubt you’re working on some excellent additions!

  21. jamieirvin
    jamieirvin says:

    Hi Ronan & Laubwerk,
I’ve been using the laubwerk trees for quite a while now and they have become an essential part of the work flow. I love that you actually listen to the user’s requests and follow through with updates and improvements. As said many times below, bushes and hedges would be an ideal addition. Also silver birch and some thinner tall trees. Bamboo would be great too. A lot of modern gardens seem to request that.
It would also be nice to see more than 3 variants of each tree… sorry 🙂 oh, and saplings. I often have to do a scenes that look newly planted.
If you could have all that on my desk by Monday that would be great 😉
Keep up the good work guys!

Mousiol We are still working on a bit of technology that allows us to make rugged trees really nice. This will happen, but please don’t hold your breath just yet. 😉

  23. Laubwerk
    Laubwerk says:

RichardIrvin We hear you regarding more control over the shape of the tree (particularly the clear trunk part). Box Hedges will also eventually happen, but it will take a bit of time. 🙁

Laubwerk RichardIrvin I hope sooner than later. Having control over the growth of tress is a actually a big thing in archviz. You can’t escape client comments regarding trees!

  26. Mousiol
    Mousiol says:

Well, ultimately I’d like to see imperfect leafs as well, but the bark look and the overall shape of the tree are more important to me. You know how some really old trees have some weird and beautiful shape?
