Congratulations to Tiziano Nespoli for winning the second stage of the DesignConnected vouchers giveaway! During this month’s giveaway the first two winners were randomly selected from all who commented in the original DesignConnected voucher giveaway post. Tiziano’s interior setup, showcasing the Freeman Sofa System by Meridiani, was very well done, with splashes of light and subtle reflection that enhance the material and form very well. This awards him with a 100 Euro voucher to use on DesignConnected.
Big thanks to DesignConnected for sponsoring this giveaway and as a thank you to all who took part in it, a special gift is waiting for you inside…
Seeing new work by LUXIGON is always interesting, and their latest work for architect Chad Oppenheim truly amazed me. They produced a series of architectural visuals for the Wadi Rum Desert Lodges Resort in Jordan, an hour and a half outside of Petra. LUXIGON managed to inject a massive amount of emotive qualities into these images, aided greatly by the unique and isolated desert context. I’ve attached a PDF with information about the project and a set of images provided by LUXIGON.
It’s holiday time here and I’m taking it slow doing some blog & forums upgrades, as well as some personal 3d stuff. You probably noticed some forum downtime last night, and I shared an amazing video via twitter & Facebook to make for a nicer waiting until it was back up… well, it’s to good to not feature here too. “The Mountain” by Terje Sorgjerd was filmed this April showcasing what an amazing world we are all privileged to live on! let’s keep it that way.
Following the forum spotlight made about the work of forum member Marcus Dallmann (Troubs), He now kindly shares the process of making his Cutipol House renders. Done while sick and cold outside, hoping for being in a sunny better place, this is the result of 2 days work with some great insights about the workflow. Enjoy!
As previously stated, I love just about any project Marcio Kogan turns out and Paraty House is no exception… I even think that this house is his best so far. The combination of an amazing site, secluded inside a Brazilian island cove accessed by boat only, and great architectural interpretation of simple boxes, makes one of the more compelling houses I’ve seen to date.
